
Despite hitting four home runs Coppin State had its six-game winning streak snapped at the hands of Hampton on the opening day of play at the Lady Pirate Classic on Friday.

Paige Arnold was 6-for-7 with four runs batted in and picked up the victory on the mound in the first game leading the Coppin State softball team to a doubleheader sweep of Bowie State on Tuesday at the Bachman Sports Complex.

Candice Wright, Jade Dudley and Paige Arnold combined to go 6-for-12 with six runs scored and six runs driven in as Coppin State completed a three-game sweep of Maryland Eastern Shore with an 8-0 victory on Sunday at Lady Hawks Field.

Sophomore Paige Arnold pitched a shutout in the first game and picked up the victory and delivered the go-ahead hit in the second game leading Coppin State to a doubleheader sweep of Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday at Lady Hawks Field.

Paige Arnold and Jade Dudley combined to lead Coppin State to a 4-2 victory over Hampton on the final day of play at the North Carolina A&T Tournament on Sunday.

After opening the season with a victory over Maryland Eastern Shore, Coppin State dropped a pair of games on the second day of the North Carolina A&T Tournament on Saturday.
