Suber Signs Training Camp Contract With Washington Mystics

BALTIMORE -- Coppin State's Rashida Suber signed a training camp contract with the Washington Mystics of the Women's National Basketball Association and will be attending camp at Trinity University in Washington, D.C.
 
Suber, who is the Eagles all-time leading scorer, is one of 26 players invited to training camp.
 
The camp runs from April 20 through May 16 with practice being held each day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Trinity, but practices are closed to the public.
 
The Mystics will make their first cut on April 29 when they trim the roster to 15 players and the final cut will be made on May 16.
 
Washington will play three preseason games before they make its final roster cuts.
 
Washington finished the 2007 season with a 16-18 overall record and was fifth in the Eastern Division.
 
The Mystics are coached by former NBA player Tree Rollins and the roster features All-Star Alana Beard of Duke as well as Monique Currie of Duke and Crystal Langhorne of Maryland.
