Coppin State's Rashida Suber signed a training camp contract with the Washington Mystics of the Women's National Basketball Association and will be attending camp at Trinity University in Washington, D.C.

Coppin State seniors Rashida Suber and Shalamar Oakley have each been invited to the Women's National Basketball Association pre-draft camp held at the University of Tampa April 4-5.

Seniors Rashida Suber and Shalamar Oakley combined for 45 points, but it was not enought to offset the balanced attack of Maryland as the Terrapins defeated the Eagles 80-66 in a first round game in the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament in the Comcast Center.

Coppin State held its final practice on Saturday in the Comcast Center in preparation for facing Maryland in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday (March 23).

Senior Rashida Suber scored on a driving layup with 2.8 seconds remaining lifting Coppin State to a 72-70 victory over North Carolina A&T in the championship game of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament at the RBC Center on Saturday.
