Johnston, Archer Lead Eagles at Kutztown Invitational
January 30, 2012READING, Pa. -- Loren Johnston and Bria Archer led the Coppin State bowling team as it participated in the Kutztown Invitational over the weekend.
Johnston led the Eagles by knocking down 957 pins during the five-person team matches on Saturday. She averaged 159.5 and had a high game of 183 against North Carolina Central.
Archer, competing for the first time this season, averaged 152.7 and had 916 total pins. Her high game of 179 came against Kutztown.
Coppin State finished 28th overall in the team competition.
The Eagles lone victory during the tournament came on Sunday when they defeated Medaille 4-1 in baker system match play. Coppin State won the first game 171-109, the second game 154-130, the third game 166-136 and the fifth game 156-120.
Jade Dudley, Stephanie Simmons and Krystal Roach also competed for the Eagles. Dudley averaged 145.8, Simmons had an average of 138.3 and Roach averaged 95.8.
