
Coppin State freshman Leola Spotwood was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week after helping lead the Eagles to a 58-52 victory over Hampton as announced by the league office on Monday.

Christopher Tolson converted a layup with 28 seconds left in regulation lifting Hampton to a 69-67 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory over Coppin State on Saturday at the HU Convocation Center.

Freshman Leola Spotwood scored a career-high 18 points and Coppin State held Hampton to one field goal over the final 6:05 of the game as the Eagles defeated the Pirates 58-52 on Saturday at the HU Convocation Center.
