Darko Victorious Against Morgan State
April 10, 2009BALTIMORE -- Quincy Darko improved to 4-1 on the season with a victory against Morgan State, but the Bears defeated the Eagles 5-1 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match on Friday.
Darko defeated Dmitry Chekhalatyy 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 in No. 3 singles action to post his third straight victory.
James Jeffreys and Viktor Lemberger lost tightly contested matches for the Eagles.
Juan Ortiz defeated Jeffreys 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 at No. 1 singles and Lemberger suffered a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 loss to Kevon Charles at No. 2 singles.
