McKee Earns MEAC Player of the Week Honor
February 25, 2008BALTIMORE -- Coppin State senior Tywain McKee was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week after leading the Eagles to victories over Florida A&M and Hampton the league announced on Monday.
The 6-2 guard averaged 17.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in the two wins, which increased Coppin State's current winning streak to six straight games.
McKee shot 48.0 (12-of-25) percent from the floor and 85.7 (6-of-7) percent from the free throw line in addition to averaging 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
McKee had 15 points, five assists and three rebounds in Coppin State's 69-68 victory at Florida A&M and then had 19 points and 12 rebounds in the Eagles 72-55 win versus Hampton.
