Dorsey Places 19th at USA Junior Championships
June 18, 2012BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Coppin State freshman Jeremy Dorsey placed 19th in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2012 United States Junior Championships on the campus of Indiana University.
Dorsey finished 19th overall in a time of 14.47, which stands as a personal record and tops his own school record in the event. His previous top time was 14.68 at the Donald Webster Invitational in April.
Dorsey placed sixth in his heat and failed to advance to the finals. Donovan Robertson won the heat and finished second overall in a time of 13.61. Devon Allen had the top overall time of 13.59 in the preliminaries.
The event served as the qualifying meet for the 2012 IAAF World Junior Championships, which will be held July 10-15 in Barcelona, Spain.
