ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Catcher Rafael Neda homered twice and drove in five runs leading New Mexico to a 13-3 non-conference victory over Coppin State on Friday at Isotopes Park.
Neda finished the game 2-for-5 and homered in the third and sixth innings to lead the Lobos to the victory.
Cameron Smith was 4-for-5 with two runs driven in and Justin Howard had four hits and scored four runs as New Mexico piled up 17 hits.
The Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Gleiberman had a one-out single and Harry Williams
followed with a single that advanced Gleiberman to third. Richards then lined a single up the middle that scored Gleiberman putting Coppin State on top.
The Lobos tied the scored in the bottom of the first inning and then took a 3-1 lead when Neda hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the third inning.
New Mexico scored 10 times over the next three innings to take a 13-1 lead after six innings.
Robinson added a two-run double in the top of the eighth inning that scored Richards and Gleiberman for the Eagles.
