qualified for the IC4A Outdoor Championships highlighting the performances of the Coppin State men's track and field team at the Delaware Open on Saturday at the Delaware Stadium.
Bennett placed fourth in the event as he finished in a time of 10.75, which easily met the qualifying standard of 10.85.
Jamie Wilson had the Eagles top individual finish on the day as he placed second in the 200 meters in 21.90. Carlinton Morgan
was third in 21.98 and Kevon Jackson
placed fifth in 22.42.
Wilson also earned a ninth-place finish in the 100 meters as he finished in 10.92.
Jibri Victorian recorded a pair of top-10 finishes on the afternoon in the hurdle events. He was eighth in the 110 hurdles in 15.51 and fifth in the 400 hurdles in 55.15.
The Coppin State 4x100 relay team of Wilson, Bennett, Morgan and Jackson finished second overall in a time of 42.17.
The Eagles also received fourth-place finishes from the 4x400-meter relay team and from Kelvin Edmonds in the triple jump. The team of Kayon Smith
, Victorian, Edwards and Jason Bell
finished in 3:21.61, while Edmonds posted a jump of 43-6.
