Eagles Compete at Rain-Shortened Sea Ray Relays
April 14, 2007KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Junior Ian Lovergie and freshman Keonte Johnson each posted season bests in the high jump for Coppin State at the rain-shortened Sea Ray Relays.
It marked the first time in the 41-year history of the event that the meet was not completed as Knoxville was hit with severe rain and lightning forcing the cancellation of the remainder of the meet.
Lovergie placed sixth and Johnson eighth as each cleared 6-4.75.
Carlinton Morgan finished 17th overall in the 400 meters completing the race in 48.42 and Nigel Leonce was 27th in the 800 meters in 1:54.12.
