Coppin State junior Dale Dunn met the NCAA Provisional standard in the 800 meters during competition at the Penn State National Invitational on Saturday at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

Senior Kayon Smith qualified for the IC4A Indoor Championships in the 500 meters at the Albany Great Dane Classic on Friday at the 168th Street Armory.

Teo Bennett placed second in the 60 meters and Dale Dunn finished third in the 500 meters highlighting the Coppin State performance at the New York Gotham Cup at the New York Armory.

Dale Dunn and Teo Bennett each claimed individual titles for Coppin State as the Eagles opened the 2009-10 indoor track and field season on Saturday at the Navy Invitational.
