Athlete of the Week
Name: L'Zerek ChapmanSport:Track
L'Zerek Chapman has been selected as the Coppin State Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Penn State National Invitational. Chapman broke the school record in the 60-meter dash in advancing to the finals in the event. He finished eighth in the semifinals in a time of 6.81, which topped the previous school record of 6.82 set by Teo Bennett last year. He finished seventh in the finals of the 60 meters in 6.86. He also finished ninth in the invitational 200 meters in 22.13 and ran the third leg on the Eagles 4x400 relay team which placed third in 3:13.08.
