Jay Dull begins his fifth season at Coppin State and his third as an assistant coach having spent the two seasons as a Special Assistant for Basketball and Academic Support.
Dull, who previously coached at Towson and McDaniel, will assume all basketball related coaching duties along with recruiting responsibilities.
Dull has coached at the high school and collegiate levels and served as an assistant coach at Towson from 1997-01. Most recently he was the head coach at McDaniel from 2001-05.
While at Towson he helped recruit a class ranked No. 1 in the America East Conference and was part of the staff for a Tiger team that established a school record for scoring defense.
In addition, he was the head coach at Grand View College where he directed the school to its first-ever Midwest Classic Conference championship. During his stay, he coached the all-time scoring leader and the all-time, and single season, assist leader.
