Twana Allen (Women's Track and Field)
Allen ranks as one of the top track and field performers in Coppin State history. She holds indoor school records in the 800 meters, the 4x800-meter relay and the distance medley relay and is the outdoor record holder in the 4x800-meter relay. She became the school's first-ever indoor All-American when she finished fifth in the 800 meter race at the 1996 NCAA Championships. Her 1996 season ranks as one of the greatest in school history as she won the 800 meters, the 3,000 meters and was a member of both the 4x400 relay and the distance medley relay at the MEAC indoor championships and then won the 800 meters, the 1500 meters and the 3,000 meters at the MEAC outdoor championships. She was inducted into the MEAC Hall of Fame in 2008.
Nickie Peters (Men's Track and Field)
Peters was one of the more dominant runners in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference while competing at Coppin State from 2000-03. He holds Coppin State records for points scored at the MEAC Indoor and Outdoor Championships as he won, or was a part of, 10 conference championships. He won the mile at the indoor championships four consecutive years and he won the 1,500 meters at the outdoor championships in three straight seasons. He is the school record holder in the mile and the 1,500 meters in addition to winning two conference cross country championships. His excellence was not limited to the track as he was a two-time Academic All-America selection.
Diana Pitts (Women's Track and Field)
Pitts was the first Coppin State track athlete, male or female, to earn All-America honors. She earned outdoor All-America accolades at the 1993 and 1994 championships in the 800 meters and remains the only two-time honoree in school history. She captured seven conference championships including winning the 800 meters, the 1500 meters and the 3000 meters at the 1994 MEAC Indoor Championships. She is the Coppin State record holder in the 500 meters, 1000 meters, 1500 meters and the mile indoors and the 400 meters, 800 meters and 1500 meters outdoors.
Larry Stewart (Men's Basketball)
Stewart was a two-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year and was a three-time All-MEAC selection. He helped lead Coppin State to its first-ever berth in the NCAA Tournament in 1990 and helped lay the groundwork for the success that would follow. He ranks as the second leading scorer in Coppin State history with 1,824 points and is the all-time leader with 1,052 rebounds. He is the only player in school history to surpass both 1,000 career points and rebounds. After leaving Coppin State he played for four seasons in the National Basketball Association with the Washington Bullets and the Seattle Supersonics and became the first undrafted rookie named to the NBA All-Rookie Team.
Stephen Stewart (Men's Basketball)
Stewart earned back-to-back Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors in 1994 and 1995 and helped lead the Eagles to the NCAA Tournament in 1993 and the NIT in 1995. He scored 19 points against St. Joseph's in the NIT helping Coppin State to its first ever postseason victory. He ranks eighth all-time in scoring at Coppin State with 1,393 points and seventh with 546 rebounds. He earned first team All-MEAC honors in 1994 and 1995 and was the conference Rookie of the Year in 1993. Stewart was selected as the MEAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player in 1993 after leading the Eagles to the conference tournament title.
Rashida Suber (Women's Basketball)
Suber was a part of the most successful period in Coppin State women's basketball where she helped lead the Eagles to four consecutive postseason berths. Coppin State made three NCAA Tournament appearances and also advanced to the WNIT from 2004-08. She ranks as the all-time leading scorer at Coppin State with 1,865 points and also holds school records for steals, three-point baskets and three-point attempts. Was selected First Team All-MEAC three times and was named the conference Player of the Year during the 2006-07 season. Established an NCAA record for consecutive games in a single season with a three-point basket during the 2006-07 season with 33 and had an overall streak of 56 straight games with a three-pointer. Helped lead the Eagles to a MEAC record 49 straight victories against conference opponenets. As a senior lifted the Eagles into the NCAA Tournament with a driving layup with 2.8 seconds to play to defeat North Carolina A&T.
Sherrie Tucker (Women's Basketball)
Tucker was a two-time Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year and led Coppin State to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2005. She also earned first team All-MEAC honors on two occasions and was Coppin State's Most Valuable Player three times. She ranks third all-time at Coppin State in career scoring with 1,389 points and ranks among the career leaders in rebounds, field goals made, field goals attempted, three-point field goals, three-point field goal percentage and games played.
