Q: Welcome to Coppin State, Mr. Ramsey. I'm a 1975 alumnus who played three years of tennis at CSU and one year of soccer. My question concerns the new arena. When will it be ready? How many seats? Will they be chairback seats? I attend each home basketball game, both men's and women's. As much as I enjoy the games, at my age, chairback seats would be a blessing. Thanks.

 

A: First off Don let me thank you for your continued support of Coppin State athletics and also for taking the time to inquire about the new facility. We as an athletic department are very excited about the opening of the Physical Education Complex. The building will be ready for occupation in the fall of 2009 and will seat 4,100 fans. And yes, there will be chairback seating in the facility. There will be a combination of bleacher and chairback seating throughout the arena and we believe you will find it to be the premiere playing facility in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
