TOWSON, Md. – The Coppin State women's track & field team took sixth overall at the Towson Invitational held at Johnny Unitas Stadium on Saturday.
Jumpers
Randi Bohler and
Tre'J Johnson had the best place finishes of any Eagles competitor on the day in field events. Bohler took fourth in the long jump in 18' 5.0" while Johnson was second overall and in triple jump with a leap of 37' 6.5". Bohler also competed in the prelims of the 100m hurdles and finished fifth in 14.42 but did not run in the finals.
The duo also ran legs of the 4x100m Relay that took 5
th in 48.52. Also competing on the relay was
Astahia Wells and
Jasmine Henery. Henery also took seventh in the 400m hurdles in 1:05.06 while Wells clocked a 13.02 in the 100m Dash.
On the track,
Tatiana Ogundeko matched Bohler's fourth place effort in the 1500m, clocking a 4:53.63.
Also scoring points for the Eagles on the day where
Savannah Forte in the pole vault (10' 11.75) and
Aidan Alston in the javelin (7
th, 116' 2").
Alanna Newby had a solid day in the throws, taking ninth in the shot put (38' 3.25") and 12
th in the discus (117' 2")
CSU returns to the track on April 26-28 at the historic Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
