GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Coppin State women's track team sent a contingent of runners to the Pepsi Florida Relays and the Navy Invitational over the weekend.
In Gainesville,
Erykah Jerome finished the 200m Dash in 25.33 while running a leg of the 4x200m Relay that finished in 1:41.90. Also running the relay was
Jasmine Henery,
Eriell Wallace and
Tre'J Johnson.
At Navy,
Tatiana Ogundeko took third overall in the 1,500m in a time of 4:44.46, besting her personal record which she ran last weekend by over nine seconds. Her time is the third-fastest in CSU history.
Savannah Forte broke her own school-record in the pole vault, clearing 10' 8.75"
On the track,
Astahia Wells led Coppin in the 100m Dash (12.94) and 200m Dash (26.59).
In other field events,
Alanna Newby tossed the shot put 36' 7" and the discus 110 feet.
Aidan Alston took fourth in the javelin with a toss of 110' 11".
Coppin returns to the track on Saturday, April 7 at the Colonial Relays hosted by George Mason University.
