BOSTON, Mass. – Joseph Amoah and
Aaron Lewis won their respective events and
Martin Owusu-Antwi took silver to Amoah as the Coppin State men's track & field team competed at the Boston University Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational on Saturday.
Amoah took the title in the 200m Dash in 20.97, narrowly beating out Owusu-Antwi who took second in 21.10.
Lewis won the 60m Hurdles in a time on 7.95.
In other sprint events,
Keshaun Hodges qualified for the finals of the 60m Dash and took fourth overall in 6.94.
Justin Turner and
Babadeji Balogun competed in the 400m Dash, crossing the finish in times of 52.45 and 52.82, respectively.
Three Eagles had solid races in the 800m Dash with
Mark London leading the way in 1:53.93.
Anija Addison and
Cheyenne Johnson followed shortly after another in 1:55.69 and 1:56.59.
Elijah Noel also competed in both the long jump and triple jump and leaped 20-10.75 and 42-9.75.
Coppin State returns to the track on Friday, February 9 for the Fast Track invitational in Staten Island, N.Y. in its final tuneup for the MEAC Championships on February 15-17.
