BALTIMORE, Md. – Due to weather, the Coppin State and Norfolk State MEAC baseball weekend series scheduled for Saturday, April 1
st and Sunday, April 2
nd has been pushed to a Sunday-Monday, April 3
rd schedule at Joe Cannon Field.
The Eagles and Spartans will play a doubleheader on Sunday, April 2
nd beginning at 3 p.m. with the second game slated for 6:30 p.m. Then the teams will end the weekend series with a single game at noon on Monday, April 3
rd.
Both teams are 4-2 in the MEAC northern division and the winner of this weekend's series moves into first place. Norfolk State has an overall record of 9-13 and are coming off of a non-conference loss to William & Mary (6-1) on Tuesday. Coppin State is 5-14 and are looking to end a two game losing skid after their Wednesday loss to Towson (7-5).
